The Fontaine II is a high fidelity full-range monitor of superior construction
that embodies the greatest qualities of the original Fontaine, combined
with improvements requested by our dedicated Fontaine customers.
The Fontaine II has been transformed into a small foot print floor standing
loudspeaker that embodies many of the aesthetic benefits of our popular
Rosa at the moderate price of a Fontaine. The great benefit of the extra
available cabinet volume, when combined with innovative bass reflex engineering,
is the extension of the Fontaine II’s low frequency response to
an impressive 41 Hz.
The wider bandwidth design of the Fontaine II still maintains the incredible
accuracy expected of an EgglestonWorks brand loudspeaker. The transducers
and crossover components used in the Fontaine II a re of the same highest
quality as those used in even our most uncompromising designs. This gives
all our designs the ability to integrate seamlessly in multi-channel systems
when using a combination of our designs.
While the midrange drivers Rosa use transmission lines, the Fontaine II
like the original utilizes a dual-ported, vented enclosure. With the Fontaine
II’s extended bass response and convenient floor standing design,
the Fontaine II increases its integration flexibility. The Fontaine II
can play the role of dedicated 2-channel monitor or multi-channel surround,
depending on system requirements.
Finished in same standard gloss black finish that has become a trade mark
of EgglestonWorks excellence, EW Audio is proud to announce the availability
of color matched gloss painted finishes as an option. This extra cost
option allows you to not only improve the sound, but customize your EgglestonWork’s
loudspeaker to visually enhance your next dream system as well.
