Memphis, TN, U.S.A., November 1, 1999 EgglestonAudio L.L.C. announced today the acquisition of EgglestonWorks Loudspeaker Company. Effective immediately, EgglestonAudio will begin producing EgglestonWorks full line of award-winning speakers, including Stereophile Magazines Speaker of the Year the ANDRA, Ivy Reference, Rosa, Fontaine, Isabel and Andra Center Channel. Commenting on the recent acquisition, EgglestonAudios CEO Michael J. Sabre stated "We see this as a tremendous opportunity to combine a professional management team with proven cutting edge designs recognized for their elegance, quality construction and musicality. We are all committed to providing audiophiles with unsurpassed listening pleasure." EgglestonAudio seeks to build upon the momentum started at CES 99 when the world debut of the Ivy Reference speaker received rave compliments by industry professionals. Designed with the guidance of Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering in Maine, the Ivy Reference with its 23 drivers per channel, produces nearly unlimited dynamics and SPLs through the most neutral and transparent means possible. Worldwide interest in EgglestonWorks has heightened since their phenomenally successful presentation at Stereophile Magazines HIFI 99. EgglestonWorks Rosa and Isabel designs were enjoyed so much by Larry Greenhill that he wrote "Sounding especially good the system fine tuned to a T, allowing the Rosa speaker to disappear to be replaced by a three-dimensional, rock-solid image of the chorus in Rutters Requiem". Obviously others agreed with Mr. Greenhill because EgglestonWorks was acknowledged as having some of the best sound at HIFI 99. "We have already begun expanding our international presence with speaker reviews in the U.K., Greece, France, Hong Kong, Japan and Germany, adding dealers in new markets and launching an aggressive advertising campaign" said Jim Thompson, EgglestonAudios Director of Sales and Marketing. EgglestonAudio plans to aggressively build upon its current dealer base by adding several new dealers in key markets in the near future to help service the increase in demand for its award winning line of speakers. EgglestonAudio has begun new research and development to enhance its existing speaker line. The design staff has a number of new designs in the works and will be launching new prototypes soon. It sounds like we will be hearing great things from EgglestonAudio for years to come. Contact: |
